Ya han pasado algunos días del plebiscito y los ecos de su resultado aun resuenan y seguirán acompañándonos un buen tiempo.
Ello, aun cuando no hay dos opiniones respecto que este resultado es un castigo a toda la élite política, que demostró una vez más una decadencia que ya nos acompaña por una década larga, y que tiene efectos concretos en las posibilidades de nuestro desarrollo económico, político, cultural, social.
Sin embargo, lo que hemos visto es a los distintos actores políticos intentar obtener pequeñas ventajas que puedan posicionarlos de mejor manera para los futuros procesos electorales, de alcaldes y gobernadores 2024 y presidencial y parlamentaria 2025.
Como tenemos una clase política previsora que trabaja a mediano y largo plazo, ya se está configurando el escenario presidencial. Por el lado de la derecha, Matthei ha tomado la pole position a costa de Kast. El republicano ha tratado de articular un discurso que reconoce la derrota pero que proclama que lo que a el lo mueve son los ideales mayores y no pequeñeces como la presidencia de la república, sin embargo, a continuación declara que no está dispuesto a participar en primarias de su sector sino que se instalará directamente en la papeleta presidencial. Rincón u otros líderes de amarillos o demócratas deben olvidarse de sus afiebrados sueños de poder estar en esas lides. La noche de los cuchillos largos continuará en ese sector político, si es que el gobierno a través de sus propuestas de reforma no los obliga a deponer las armas y coordinar su acción. La participación de la expresidenta Bachelet llamando a votar en contra, dado que la propuesta constitucional era lesiva a los intereses de las mujeres, algunos creen que movió de manera importante la aguja y resultado de ello es que muchos personeros del oficialismo creen ver en ella el salvavidas que les permita continuar en el poder, dando un fuerte golpe a las pretensiones de Tohá y Vallejos.
Que las mujeres hayan votado más por el en contra que los hombres, lo mismo que votaron más a Boric que a Kast, representa un cambio cultural ya consolidado en nuestra sociedad, al igual que en el resto del mundo occidental, por lo que el costo de recurrir a la nostalgia del pasado, algo que sucede en tiempos de cambios como el que vivimos, hay que evaluarlo con mucho cuidado por el costo que significa impedir la renovación de los liderazgos que requiere una sociedad.
2024 con desafíos mayores
Estos días de fiestas de fin de año y el verano serán el tiempo que debe aprovechar el gobierno para preparar adecuadamente el año que viene, puesto que los desafíos son mayores y las posibilidades de construir acuerdos para a lo menos avanzar en pensiones y seguridad, sólo serán posibles durante la primera mitad de 2024, ya que en junio tenemos primarias de alcaldes y gobernadores y en octubre las elecciones y en estos tiempos electorales las posibilidades de tregua son bien escasas.
La emergencia de Francisco Vidal en la campaña del en contra y su llegada a la presidencia de TVN entrega una señal de un posible rumbo del gobierno, aunque el presidente acostumbra a tratar de empatar las dos almas del oficialismo. Pero si hay un consenso emergente que supera la contingencia, ese es la valoración de Ricardo Lagos, y esto no dice relación con las políticas que los gobiernos de la Concertación aplicaron y fueron válidas para su tiempo y ese tiempo pasó, sino que se vincula con una forma de entender el gobernar, o como dicen los millennials de habitar el cargo, y también de asumir el capitalismo, el liberalismo y la gradualidad en las reformas que se requieren, construyendo viabilidad política para las decisiones de quien gobierna. En esa línea la visita del presidente Boric al expresidente Lagos y su consabida selfie y publicación en X, tienen una carga simbólica que deberemos mirar con atención en el tiempo que viene.
Es de esperar que los aires navideños que, como decía Churchill, no solo son una temporada de regocijo sino que también de reflexión, permeen a nuestra élite gobernante y pongan en el centro de sus preocupaciones el bien común. Construir consensos no es estar de acuerdo en todo sino avanzar en aquello que compartimos y tenemos en común, porque como país hay muchos más temas que nos unen que los que nos dividen. Es el momento de una racionalidad pragmática antes que de ideologismos que ya han demostrado su incapacidad para resolver los problemas complejos de la sociedad actual.
