Que nuestro país es bipolar y altamente cambiante parece quedar claro, al hacer un somero balance de lo que ha pasado en los tres años, que van desde el 18 de octubre de 2019 -cuando Chile “despertó” de décadas de mercado extremo y se encaminaba a ser no sólo la cuna del neoliberalismo, sino su sepultura- al 4 de septiembre de 2022. En ese período hubo una combinación de factores y amplias voluntades –desde las calcetineras de Paul Schaeffer y Karadima a la gerontocracia concertacionista, liderada por Ricardo Froilán-, sumadas a la gigantesca ineptitud de la generación dorada, nos tienen hoy en un punto medio, más atrás que hace tres años, pero más adelante que durante todos los otros 30 años previos. O sea, entre Tongoy y Los Vilos.
Todo esto, eso sí, con una constante y eficiente labor de resignificación mediática, en que la industria periodística nos dijo cómo nombrar lo que estaba pasando y determinó los temas de discusión. Desde el Pelado Vade a Pancho Malo, pasando por los Amarillos por Chile, la discusión constituyente dejó intacto el modelo de explotación capitalista, basado en la exportación sin valor agregado y con una crisis económica, que, sin duda, hará mucho más difícil resolver, razonablemente, la crisis política que estamos viviendo.
Pero, además de bipolar, está claro que la conducción del país es, también, hedonista y sibarita. De la tentación de los autoconvocados e independientes que construyeron una propuesta constitucional arrogante y que le hablaba a sí misma, que tenía tantos temas para aprobarla como más para rechazarla, estamos pasando a los otros –también arrogantes y sesgados- que o quieren dejar todo tal cual estaba hace tres años o, con Pancho Malo a la cabeza, avanzar hacia un Cuarto Reich, propio de Bolsonaro o Trump.
¿Hay futuro en el Rechazo o su éxito estuvo basado solo en aprovechar las falencias del texto octubrista que se plebiscitó el 4 de septiembre, además de la impresionante indolencia del gobierno que se quedó ausente del proceso?
Si la propuesta es solo insistir en un amplio pacto por la seguridad y respaldar a Carabineros, entonces, las causas del estallido de hace tres años están ahí servidas para futuras rebeliones. Porque es evidente que la desigualdad y las necesidades sociales no se resolverán dentro de este sistema, por mucho que Lagos esté disponible para “orientar” al país.
Así, las cosas, parece ser que el plebiscito del 4 de septiembre no lo ganó el Rechazo, sino que lo perdió ampliamente el Apruebo. Y lo perdió, básicamente, porque nunca se entendió que no bastaba con autoconvocar cabildos y apostar por la horizontalidad, sino por aquello que si bien estaba presente nunca se le dio la prioridad debida, que era fortalecer la organización social popular y sindical para avanzar de la agitación a la propuesta y a la construcción de una alternativa política nueva, que les hablara a las mayorías y no solo a una colección de temas y grupos, que terminaron por potenciar las fuerzas centrífugas del movimiento.
Solo un potenciamiento real de las organizaciones sociales y populares permitirá que el despertar de Chile no derive en la pesadilla de un Cuarto Reich.
