Por tercera vez consecutiva se realizará el Festival Encuentro Danza los días 20, 21 y 22 de octubre, en la ciudad balnearia de Pichilemu. En esta tercera versión, y por primera vez, se entregará el premio “Serpentina” a la mejor videodanza y a la mejor obra presencial.
Equipo organizador del Festival Encuentro Danza
La primera versión del festival se realizó en el verano de 2019, con la presencia de artistas de diferentes regiones de Chile y de países como México, Brasil, Francia y Venezuela. Su segunda versión se realizó de manera online y presencial en octubre de 2021, con la presencia especial de la compañía Danzen de Ecuador. Se presentaron 27 Videodanza de compañías de diferentes países, generando un gran impacto en el público y mundo de la danza.
El Festival fue visto por miles de personas en América Latina y Europa, visibilizando a Pichilemu como la capital cultural de la danza contemporánea de la región de O’Higgins.
La tercera versión del festival, se realizará de forma presencial con transmisión online, los días jueves 20, viernes 21 y sábado 22 de octubre de 2022 en la ciudad de Pichilemu, con una programación que consiste en la realización de espectáculos de danza. Para la inauguración, cerraremos la calle Aníbal Pinto arteria principal de
la ciudad, también contaremos con presentaciones en el edificio patrimonial construido en 1906 y primer casino de Chile, el Centro Cultural Agustín Ross; también se harán intervenciones públicas fuera del Museo exestación de trenes, a un costado de la laguna Petrel, recientemente declarada humedal urbano y reserva de la biodiversidad y de pájaros. Y se realizará el cierre en la icónica plaza Arturo Prat.
La programación cuenta con una muestra de obras de videodanza seleccionadas por un jurado nacional e internacional, que serán exhibidas durante los tres días del festival. Junto con la programación de videos y espectáculos en vivo contaremos con conversatorios y talleres gratuitos para la comunidad, bajo la temática 2022 “La Memoria del Agua”
“La Memoria del Agua” es el tema vector de este año, del cual se ha realizado la selección de las obras. El agua es la generadora de la vida, desde donde se ha diversificado y desarrollado. ¿Cómo imaginar lo que ella nos podría contar? Desde los grandes eventos terrestres, hasta los antiguos navegantes de las costas de Pichilemu sobre sus balsas de piel de lobo marino. Es nuestra memoria, ¿qué es la vida y nuestra historia? Estamos compuestos de ella en un 70%, nos nutre, nos mueve en su ritmo, nos sana y conserva en su materia la luz del universo…
En esta tercera versión, y por primera vez, se realizará un concurso en el cual se entregará el premio “Serpentina” a la mejor videodanza y a la mejor obra presencial. Este premio será elegido por un prestigioso jurado, presidido por la coreógrafa y bailarina mexicana Irene Martínez, quien fue asistente de la coreógrafa Alemana Pina Bausch, entre 1996 al 2001; Roberto Matus, director de casting de películas y series de televisión nacionales e internacionales; Esteban Peña Villagrán, coreógrafo franco-chileno, docente y artista plástico y Sonia Rodríguez, coreógrafa Española, intérprete y docente de danza contemporánea, radicada en Berlín.
El festival cuenta con la presencia de Natalia Goycoolea, Macarena Guarachi, Viviana Reyes, Catalina Fuentes, Rodrigo del Valle y Mariela Valdebenito, entre otros exponentes de la danza de nuestra región. En materia internacional, contamos con la presencia de Valeria Aguirre, de la compañía Danzen de Quito, Ecuador, Karla Trad de Latidos Urbanos Danza de México. Además de la presencia de dos integrantes de nuestro jurado: Irene Martínez y Roberto Matus.
Camilo Arenas es el creador, director y productor del Festival Encuentro Danza. Es bailarín, coreógrafo, artista plástico y docente de origen pichilemino que vive entre Francia y Pichilemu. Camilo busca abordar la danza contemporánea desde distintas aristas, como la educación y la creación para contribuir al desarrollo integral de la comunidad, con la convicción de que la danza es para todos sin distinción de género y que, además, este arte contribuye a erradicar las desigualdades.
Misión y visión
El Festival Encuentro Danza Pichilemu es un proyecto social que se caracteriza por educar, culturizar, acercar, ampliar, visibilizar y acompañar al público en las artes y la danza contemporánea, además de contribuir al desarrollo económico de Pichilemu a través del turismo cultural. Este tiene como visión de futuro perennizar sus actividades y transformarse en un vector de identidad y conciencia social de las contingencias territoriales.
El III Festival Encuentro Danza Pichilemu se lleva a cabo gracias al auspicio de la Ilustre Municipalidad de Pichilemu, en el nombre de su actual alcalde Cristián Pozo Parraguez y todo su equipo; la SEREMI de la región O’Higgins del Ministerio de las Culturas, las Artes y el Patrimonio, bajo la dirección de Flor Ilic; Complejo Turístico Dunamar; Restaurante El Cardón; El Pulpo Bar Pizzeria; Atahualpa Factoría; Canasta Campesina; El Point Xurreria, Aarati y el patrocinio del canal comunitario Pichilemu TV.
Queremos hacer un llamado e invitación a las personas de todas las regiones de Chile, para ser parte de este gran proyecto vanguardista artístico y social. Pichilemu se vestirá de danza, de gestos en libertad y la extensión de la poesía en su patrimonio natural como tela de fondo.
