Como hemos informado en El Regionalista, el alcalde Juan Ramón Godoy tiene acusaciones de corrupción en su gestión edilicia. Por tal motivo, un grupo de concejales del municipio interpusieron un requerimiento al TER (Tribunal Electoral de Rancagua) para remover provisoriamente al alcalde por notable abandono de deberes.
Este pasado sábado 24 de septiembre salió una nota en El Tipógrafo, titulada: “Tribunal Electoral Regional rechaza suspensión temporal del alcalde Godoy”, luego informa que el dictamen del jueves 22 rechazó el requerimiento de los ediles. También, transcribe una parte del fallo. Hasta ahí es una noticia parcialmente cierta. Esto grafica el problema que tenemos actualmente con muchos medios, que no necesariamente mienten, pero que omiten o distorsionan una noticia.
Este fallo en ningún caso absuelve al alcalde Juan Ramón Godoy, solo señala que es un cargo de elección pública y que la suspensión provisoria del cargo no está contemplada. Esto de ningún modo es una sentencia que exculpa al alcalde de Rancagua. De hecho, lo siguiente que señala el fallo es que el proceso se acoge y continúa con conocimiento de la contraloría. Por tanto, es una resolución que recién da curso a la demanda interpuesta. Nada se ha resuelto. Esto solo comienza. Por tanto, el titular de El Tipógrafo es, cuando menos, una media verdad. Como medio de comunicación, nos parece importante mantener informados a nuestr@s lectores de los hechos. Hay una acusación contra el alcalde de Rancagua, ahora comienza la investigación, y el alcalde continúa en su cargo, porque la suspensión provisoria no está contemplada. Esos son los hechos.
