Todas las familias que cuentan entre sus miembros a alguien con discapacidad se plantean en algún momento cómo enfrentará el futuro esa persona, qué opciones tendrá de optar a un trabajo remunerado.
La Agrupación Rancagua de Familiares y Amigos de Personas con Discapacidad Siquiátrica, AFADIPS decidió dar una respuesta contundente a esa pregunta justo antes de la pandemia: sumaron las habilidades y competencias de nueve personas con discapacidad más parientes mujeres, adultos mayores y otros familiares, un total de 15 personas y conformaron la Cooperativa Estación de los Sueños.
El modelo de organización no fue casualidad. Las cooperativas son empresas constituidas por personas que se reúnen para brindarse ayuda mutua, para resolver necesidades que le son comunes a través de una gestión democrática, participativa y orientada a que todos sus socios, puedan resolver problemas que les son centrales para su diario vivir. El cooperativismo moderno entrega la posibilidad de sumar a los que quieren emprender, como es el caso de las cooperativas inclusivas, construyendo un país más sólido y con oportunidades para todos.
Por esta vía, la Cooperativa Estación de los Sueños rompió una historia reiterada de puertas que se les cerraban por la discapacidad de sus fundadores.
Estación de los Sueños realiza servicios de coffe break, banquetería y alimentación en la comuna de Rancagua y sus alrededores. Quieren distinguirse por un servicio de calidad, con distintas opciones de alimentación, cocina tradicional, vegetariana y vegana. Se diferencian de otras empresas por tener un servicio personalizado, buscando atender las necesidades de sus clientes, entregando atención cercana, humana y cordial. Además, es una pyme preocupada por el medio ambiente, que ocupa materiales y herramientas sustentables y reciclables y se ha planteado el desafío de producir un impacto en la comunidad.
Para sus socios, el servicio que presta Estación de los Sueños es una gran oportunidad de formar y sensibilizar la comunidad en torno a la inclusión laboral de personas en situación de discapacidad.
Es lo que buscan cada día en su Estación de los Sueños, que debe su nombre a la casa donde sus socios se reúnen a soñar por un mundo más inclusivo, “en donde todos y todas podemos coexistir”.
