Epopeya de 30 ganaderos libres

Al amparo del cielo es una película documental de un lirismo extraordinario, sobre la vida cotidiana de arrieros ovejeros de las altas montañas de Colchagua en Chimbarongo y San Fernando.

Acosta es de la estirpe de Win Wenders y El transcurso del tiempo o París, Texas, pero su sujeto no es el auto y las carreteras, ni los pueblos remotos de cines antiguos, ni la prostitución en la autovía. Aquí las estrellas son los pedregales, las cumbres y el cielo, el balar de las ovejas por las piedras y pastos de Chile, emulando los poemas de Zurita en Anteparaíso.
