Sobre este evento, Sofía Valenzuela, seremi de la Macrozona Centro Sur (regiones de O’Higgins, del Maule, Ñuble y Bío-Bío) del Ministerio de Ciencia nos señala que: “el objetivo principal es acercar la ciencia en todas las áreas del conocimiento hacia la sociedad en general”. Luego, agregó: “en cada una de las regiones hay diferentes actividades y este año, en el marco del gobierno del presidente Boric, la idea es que estas actividades salgan de las capitales regionales y provinciales, y se realicen en distintas comunas de nuestro país”.
La Seremi Sofía Valenzuela nos cuenta que: “dentro del FECI como seremi de la Macrozona Centro Sur, tenemos una obra de teatro que estamos itinerando. La obra se llama ‘2070: el último documental animal’ de la compañía de teatro la última zapatilla”, haciéndose presentaciones el lunes 3, en el Teatro Municipal de Requínoa, el miércoles 5 en San Clemente y el viernes 7 en Arauco.
Quisimos saber que le parecieron las actividades realizadas en la comuna de Requínoa a la seremi de Ciencias y, al respecto, nos señaló: “las actividades en Requínoa estuvieron muy entretenidas, tuvimos estudiantes entre cuarto y octavo básico de dos establecimientos de la comuna”. Luego de cada presentación se hizo un conversatorio con la seremi del ministerio de Medioambiente, Giovanna Amaya y quien escribe, Adriana Bastías, investigadora de la Universidad Autónoma y presidenta de la Asociación Red de Investigadoras. Sofía Valenzuela agregó: “esto dio lugar a que muchas y muchos estudiantes hicieran preguntas, estaban muy entusiasmados, preguntaron distintas cosas y temáticas en relación a la obra de teatro, Además, tuvimos el apoyo de la Universidad Autónoma de Chile, que con su Centro de Comunicación de las Ciencias y, a través de ellos, pudimos regalar libros de índole científico, de la misma universidad, que hizo más animada la actividad y hubieron demasiadas preguntas porque todos los niños y niñas querían llevarse un libro”.
Cuando le consultamos sobre la organización de la actividad, la seremi nos indicó que: “estas actividades son organizadas a través del Ministerio de Ciencias, por cada una de las seremías nosotros tenemos colaboración. Estamos trabajando con la seremi de Educación, seremi de Medioambiente, seremi de Cultura y, en el caso de Requínoa y San Clemente, también contamos con la colaboración de la Universidad Autónoma y, en el caso de Arauco, se sumaría CONAF”.
La seremi destaca que: “todas estas actividades son importantes porque permiten acercar a la sociedad a la ciencia, en este caso una obra de teatro, pero también hay otras actividades como charlas, talleres, laboratorios, ferias científicas. Hay una gran cantidad de actividades que ustedes pueden encontrar en www.festivaldelasciencias.cl, ahí hay una agenda de actividades y uno busca por cada una de las regiones, y pueden encontrar otras actividades que se estén realizando en O’Higgins”.
Finalmente, la seremi nos cuenta que: “en la región de O’Higgins hay un par de actividades más organizadas para este año. Se vienen actividades en Quinta de Tilcoco, así que tienen que estar atentos y algunas más en otras comunas. Esperamos llegar a la provincia de Cardenal Caro, un poquito más adelante, para trabajar sobre todo con niñas en ciencias y fomentar que las niñas crean y sepan que pueden llegar a ser grandes científicas, así que vamos a tener algunos talleres para ellas también”.
