Rutas de la Patria Nueva es un testimonio en la web de un esfuerzo por destacar el patrimonio de identidad de la región en una espiral virtuosa en la que participaron el Gobierno Regional, mediante el Fondo de Innovación para la Competitividad, artesanos y emprendedores del rubro turístico y la Universidad de Santiago.

En el inmenso océano de la web, hay esfuerzos locales potentes que persisten.
Es el caso de Rutas de la Patria Nueva (www.rutasdelapatrianueva.cl) una marca y sitio que fueron financiados por el Fondo de Innovación para la Competitividad del Gobierno Regional de O’Higgins con recursos del impuesto a las mineras y que, en este caso, ha aportado a esta iniciativa sostenida por la Universidad de Santiago.
Al menos en la web, Rutas de la Patria Nueva pervive con todo su valor y aporte, aunque hizo lo suyo hace ya varios años. Y es una seña vigorosa y colorida de una asociación entre cultores locales, empresari@s gastronómicos y personas de a pie que han buscado que la riqueza patrimonial y gastronómica de la región se asome desde la geografía de la red tan repleta de artefactos inservibles. Pero este no solo sirve, sino que nos hace aparecer como región y reconocernos en un nivel que para muchos de este territorio aún es desconocido.
Sus méritos: levantar el patrimonio local en una asociación público-privada con presencia del gobierno regional y de la academia.
Por el sitio de las Rutas desfilan artesanos en piedra, en forja; emprendedores de restauración con cafés, comedores, restoranes, experiencias ecoturísticas; el desarrollo de un museo vivo que recorrió distintos puntos de la región hasta antes de la pandemia.
Punto destacado de la web es la oferta de libros del patrimonio regional y un mapa identitario. Este último, grafica fiestas religiosas y civiles, oficios productivos territoriales, especializaciones artesanales y elementos simbólicos de comunas.
En los libros, dos joyas: Patrimonio y desarrollo territorial de cuatro autores liderados por Pablo Lacoste que reúne valiosa información sobre artesanía, personajes tradicionales, elementos del atuendo campesino surgidos en la región, historia, alimentos y bebidas y las opciones que ofrecen al desarrollo de la región.
El otro libro es 33 historias comunales de Paulette Aguilera que se detiene en cada una de las comunas de la región para elaborar un perfil con historia, tradiciones y leyendas, tan breve como entretenido. Ambos libros con muy buena fotografía e ilustraciones, y descargables gratuitamente.
Es cierto que no todo el sitio está actualizado y algún link lleva al desalentador “error”. Pero en su conjunto, www.rutasdelapatrianueva.cl sigue vigente como muestra de un esfuerzo de varios actores que han hecho un aporte relevante a la cultura y la identidad de la región y, poniendo en valor ambas, a su potencial de desarrollo.
