Este fin de semana se realizó su décima quinta edición en San Fernando.

La cultura en regiones siempre es escasa en comparación a Santiago. Esa es una deuda que lleva mucho tiempo, y es de esperar que algo cambie en este aspecto. Dentro de este desierto cultural, este fin de semana se instaló un oasis único en San Fernando. Para los amantes de la música y de la clásica, en particular, era imperdible. Este viernes 22 de abril se dio inicio al Décimo Quinto Encuentro de Orquestas Sinfónicas en San Fernando, un proyecto financiado por el ministerio de las Culturas, las Artes y el Patrimonio, evento que se extendió hasta el domingo 24 de abril. Los conciertos tuvieron lugar en las iglesias San Fernando Rey, Carmelitas, Roma y Angostura, las calles de San Fernando y en el gimnasio municipal.
La cita con la música clásica se inauguró el día viernes 22 a las 19:30 horas con un concierto en las iglesias de San Fernando Rey, Carmelitas, Roma y Angostura. El sábado las actividades partieron a las 10:30 de la mañana y se extendieron hasta las 12:30 con comparsas por toda la ciudad, como intervención urbana. Finalmente, el domingo el encuentro abrió a las 17:30 horas con el gran concierto de clausura. En esta oportunidad participaron orquestas juveniles de El Quisco, Talca, San Miguel, Cerrillos, Puente Alto, Rancagua y San Fernando. Un equipo de El Regionalista entrevistó en la previa, a Claudia Maturana, encargada de Comunicaciones en Cultura de San Fernando.
¿Cuál es la relevancia de la actividad de este fin de semana?
El proyecto de Orquestas Sinfónicas en San Fernando, financiado por el Fondo para el Fomento de la Música Nacional, Convocatoria 2021 del ministerio y organizado por la oficina de Cultura de la municipalidad de San Fernando, comenzó en 2004 como un encuentro regional que, tras el éxito, fue tomando fuerza para convertirse en una instancia nacional de gran alcance. Considerando la buena acogida que tuvo en su génesis, se dio impulso a invitar a orquestas internacionales, que respondieron positivamente a la convocatoria, lo que ha permitido que esta idea perdure en el tiempo. Esta fiesta musical es considerada el encuentro de orquestas de mayor relevancia a nivel nacional. En esta oportunidad, contaremos con la participación de 6 orquestas juveniles de distintas ciudades del país, lo que significa reunir a 400 jóvenes músicos, cuyas edades fluctúan entre los 6 y 24 años.
¿Qué nuevo sello trae en comparación con años anteriores?
Considerando que, desde el año 2018, este evento no se desarrollaba en la ciudad, debido a que la pandemia de Covid-19, imposibilitó el normal desarrollo de actividades culturales. Esta actividad, además de permitirnos reencontrarnos con la cultura, el arte y la música, se suma la conmemoración de los 20 años de la Orquesta Sinfónica Juvenil de San Fernando, testimonio que la cultura y los buenos proyectos se mantienen en el tiempo cuando tienen una base sólida, rigor y mucho trabajo. Por eso, nuestra resposabildad como gestores, es apoyar todas estas iniciativas y seguir impulsándolas para que no se pierdan en el tiempo. Muchos de los músicos que asisten a los ciclos formativos, han quedado seleccionados para la orquesta regional, y eso es un orgullo y un gran desafio a la vez.

Las intervenciones visuales las realizó Julio Murillo junto a Felipe Carreño, con ayuda de Fernando Lefio. El símbolo del gallo nos lleva a pensar en la unión, en la suma de muchos cantos, lo que se transforma en este tremendo encuentro.
